TRAX Out for Delivery Status: Meaning and How to Prepare
What this status means, when the rider may come, how to get ready and what to do if the delivery does not happen.
What Does "Out for Delivery" Mean?
"Out for Delivery" means your parcel has finished its trip between cities, passed through the hub and reached the local office that serves your area.
The parcel has been given to a rider for that day’s deliveries. Unless something unusual happens, such as bad weather or a blocked road, it should reach you before the end of the working day.
Make sure someone is at home or at the office during the day. If you have to go out, leave someone you trust to receive the parcel, so the delivery does not fail.
When Will the Rider Come?
TRAX has not published delivery time slots. The rider follows a route, so the time depends on where your address falls on it:
Morning
09:30 AM – 01:30 PM
The rider may reach you in the morning if your address is early on the route. We could not confirm set morning times.
Afternoon
02:00 PM – 05:30 PM
Many deliveries happen later in the day. Keep your phone close through the afternoon.
Busy Days
05:30 PM – 07:30 PM
On busy sale days or in heavy traffic, the rider may come later than usual.
How to Get Ready for the Rider
These simple steps help you avoid a failed delivery:
1. Keep Your Phone On
The rider may call you to find your address. Keep your phone switched on, with signal, and answer calls from numbers you do not know.
2. Have the Right Cash Ready for COD
If you are paying cash on delivery, the rider may not carry much change. Having the right amount ready saves time at the door. Read our Cash on Delivery Guide for complete policies.
3. Ask Someone to Receive It
If you will be out, ask a family member, a receptionist or a neighbour to receive the parcel. Leave them the exact amount if it is a COD order.
4. Opening the Parcel
We could not confirm TRAX’s rule on opening a parcel before paying. Ask the shop about its policy before the rider arrives.
5. Give a Landmark
If your home is hard to find, for example in a gated area, a narrow lane or a shared house, tell the rider a nearby landmark such as a mosque, school or market when they call.
Failed TRAX Delivery Attempt: Your Next Steps
If the rider comes but cannot deliver, for example because your phone was not answered, the gate was locked or you did not have the cash, tracking will show a reason such as "Customer Not Available".
The parcel goes back to the local office. We could not confirm when TRAX tries again or how many tries it makes. If the delivery keeps failing, the parcel may be sent back to the seller. Contact the shop or TRAX quickly to ask for another try. Learn more in our Returned to Shipper (RTO) Guide.
