How cash on delivery works for TRAX parcels, how to track one, what to check before you pay and what sellers should ask TRAX.

How Cash on Delivery (COD) Works

Many online shoppers in Pakistan pay cash on delivery. With COD, the courier delivers the parcel and also collects the payment for the seller.

When a shop books a COD parcel, it enters the amount the buyer must pay. The rider asks for that amount before handing over the parcel. The amount should match your order.

The Four Steps of a COD Parcel

A cash on delivery order usually goes through four steps, from booking to the seller being paid:

1. Booking

The seller enters the buyer’s name, phone number, address and the COD amount in the Sonic seller portal. Each parcel gets an airway bill with a barcode and a tracking number.

2. On the Way

The parcel is sorted at TRAX hubs and sent to the delivery city. You can follow it with the tracking number. TRAX delivers from Monday to Saturday.

3. Paying at the Door

The rider brings the parcel. You pay the COD amount and receive the parcel.

4. Payment to the Seller

TRAX then passes the money on to the seller. We could not confirm how or when TRAX pays sellers. Sellers should ask TRAX for the terms of their account.

Can You Open the Parcel Before Paying?

Buyers often ask this. We could not confirm TRAX’s own rule on opening a parcel before paying. Ask the shop about its policy before the rider arrives. Keep these points in mind:

The Courier Only Carries the Parcel

The courier did not pack your order and cannot check or promise what is inside a sealed parcel.

Opened Parcels Are Hard to Return

If the parcel is opened at the door and then refused, it can be hard to send back to the seller in its original state.

Take Product Problems to the Seller

If the item is faulty, wrong or damaged, contact the shop under its refund or replacement policy. The rider cannot give you a refund at the door.

Tips for Buyers Paying Cash on Delivery

These simple tips help the delivery go smoothly:

Check the amount: Make sure the amount the rider asks for matches the total in your order SMS or email.
Have the right amount: Riders may not carry much change. Having the right amount ready makes the handover quicker.
Check the packing: Check that the parcel’s outer packing is not torn, cut or taped again before you accept it.
Leave cash with someone: If you will be out, leave the exact amount with a family member or someone you trust, so the delivery does not fail.
Other ways to pay: We could not confirm whether TRAX riders accept mobile wallet or bank payments. Plan to pay in cash unless the shop says otherwise.
If the amount is wrong: Stay polite with the rider. If the amount on the label is different from your order, contact the shop before you pay.
